Ann Arbor Pioneer Competition: Pit set up and day 1 of matches

After setting up our pits and passing the inspection (after we had to cut off a little bit of the robots siding due to the height being a bit over what it should be), we went back home to get some sleep before the competition officially started.

When we arrived back to Ann Arbor Pioneer High School the next day, we waited around until getting our schedule for what times our matches were and all that information. We had to start queuing tight before opening ceremony and soon after we began our very first match of the 2017 Steamworks game! The first match ended up being pretty bad. The buzzer that lets the drivers know when to begin driving after autonomous decided not to go off and we had a late start to driving which at that point we didn't have time to do everything we had planned. We lost that match by 25 points. Our other matches kept getting better and better, and we ended up winning more matches then we lost and we tied once. Throughout the day, our ranking was either in the middle or pretty high up. At one point were in 6th place, but ended up finishing the day in 10th. We also presented our Chairmans speech and everything. Tomorrow we will be the first match of the day and hopefully we'll be able to get into at least 8th place!
