Early Saturday morning,we arrived at Dundee High School to meet up for rides before heading off to U of M to find out what 'steamworks' was all about. We walked inside, got all set up, and the video eventually started which showed us the field and told us the rules of the game. Immediately after the video, all the teams set off to their rooms and starting planning for the next 6 weeks. After we planned a little, our pizza was delivered... with a bit of an issue. A pizza was missing. So another team member and I set out to find it. We first asked this volunteer who pointed out where to go, but being the people we are, we assumed that we'd get lost along the way. With that said, the volunteer literally ran us over through the freezing cold parking lot and into a volunteer room.Almost two hours later, after many trips back to the volunteer room, we finally got the cold, not very good pizza. During all this pizza stuff, the team still planned and ended up feeling good about the plan we had. So we headed back to Dundee and contemplated the rest of the season.
